    Showering my ducks

My garden is next to both of my chicken/duck yards. When I am watering my garden I discovered that my ducks love to be showered. If I stop, they all come right up to the fence and "talk" loudly to me. I should say "laugh" as that is what it sounds like. Their laughing always makes my husband and...

    Mud or Manure Pack

I have a hen with a large pack of either mud or manure on her leg. Will I be able to soak her leg and get it off? She gets around by hopping on the other leg. I would like to be able to remove it, but don't want to hurt her.

    Ducks and Lettuce

The ducks are a little unhappy with their frozen ponds. Is it ok if they don't have anywhere to swim...

    Laying Age and other questions

I now have 5 female and 3 male ducks. They are 6 months old. When will the females begin laying? Also, they are housed in a 100 sq ft coop with my 15 hens and 1 rooster (Bantam). They sleep in an area under the 6 hen nesting boxes, so I'm guessing they will lay their eggs there? Also, do all...
