Awww cuties! I don't get any black chicks ... I do have some that end up being red laced blue / almost black, but no chicks with black down. Are you grinding their food up? My new ones will also eat crumble with some warm water over it to make it mushy.

I love the chicken diapers :) Elvis is really tame, but I don't see him going for that anytime soon! Back in the other post about the dog igloo houses, you can often find them cheap on craigslist used.

I plant a Russian Tortoise mix in the spring and fall for my tortoises and for the chickens. The mix has a bunch of nutritious edible weeds. You can get it at http://www.carolinapetsupply.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=162&zenid=7cdf7443134f255ec2b98485472af66e They...

I'm in Gilbert too, we just have a open air coop, all wire, and they do fine in the winter. If it was really rainy or windy and cold I could put a tarp up, but I never needed to last year. They always stayed dry and were warm enough. Mine just sleep closer together in the winter.

Awwww I wish I could get one! My house is too small to have more than the two dogs we have (our 95# lab is almost too big for our house, our other dog is a chihuahua so she fits really well). If our house and yard was bigger, I would get one in a heartbeat. Someday we really want a poodle...

Hey TT, I have Serama Bantams, and they do not have any problems in the heat. They pant just a little, and probably don't need a mister, but we have one anyway.

For those of you that do Market on the Move, do you bring your own boxes or baskets? Or do they have the produce in boxes already? I'm going to go for the first time this weekend, and I want to be prepared. Thanks!!!
