Started collecting for my 2nd hatch today in Knox County, KY. First hatch is spoken for, #2 is about a week away from setting. Will have some hatching eggs available as well.

I set 20 Bielefelder and 2 WCB Polish on Valentine's day. Hoping for a good hatch. Will probably candle on day 10 and again before lockdown.

They found homes! We had a successful hatch, just about 50/50. Keeping a few for next season. I’ll probably start hatching in February. Tell your friends!!
Day 22 - 3 still in incubator pipped and peeping. 9 little roos and 13 hens out running around eating and drinking. 3 roos died soon after hatch. Almost a perfectly divided hatch!
Threw out 7 that stopped developing and 2 that pipped at the wrong end and died.

So, power went out for an hour and a half on hatch day. Fortunately, the incubator has an auxiliary 12 volt input that did the trick until power came back on! Looks like 2 pipping. Not expecting chicks much before midnight

Well, here we are, 6 months later, and I was able to keep my flock! Ended up rehoming some Lavender Orpington hens in order to keep the Bielefelder...
So, that being said...any interest in some Bielefelder chicks? Incubator is full at the moment, 2 weeks to go and counting.
