I suppose those who raises meat chickens. I don't eat my chickens but we have bought meat birds before. Oh and most of mine are silkies so that would be crude and mean.q
I was bad this morning and checked my 7 eggs on day 20 ( already on lockdown)which is today. 3 had pips with cracks in the eggs, 3 more that I can hear peeping and pecking sounds and one that I couldn't hear anything. I'm so excited that I can't wait to leave the office to go check at home...

So sorry to hear this. It's so hard when something attacks our birds. I cried the first time a dog got 30 of my chickens.
It is a lesson learned and I'm sure you'll be extra careful next time

I'm guessing a cockerel on the splash. He's got the long hackles like a cockerel. I am unsure of the black one though. It might be a roo but like someone said, it could be a hatchery quality pullet.

There sure are good people out there! I do hope we have more sellers like this. I haven't had any issues with other sellers though. Not even the ones on ebay...hehe

Oh no I didn't mean it happens all the time with you but I meant in general with egg sellers. I mean I give ya all props for keeping it together as I don't think I would be able to keep track of an auction, collect the required eggs, wrap them nice and tight and deliver to the post...

My buff silkie eggs from Sundown is going into lockdown tomorrow too! Excited. What day did you set? I set mine on 10/29 but I always count the day I set as day 1 and put in lockdown on day 18.

I'm planning to candle on Day 10, if I can resist the urge. Mine are brown eggs. I'll weigh them also. Our humidity here has been averaging 70% and continues the same in the forecast. My bator has been right around 50% without adding water.
I'm so bad! I just candled mine and I can see...
