We somehow managed to get 3 silkie roosters in our flock, by accident. They're just coming to maturity now, and they're not aggressive at all. They're free to a good coop!
Thank you! I will try honey today. She is still alive and in the crate. She ate some meal worms this morning, but I will be checking to make sure is drinking as well. If not, I will likely try a medicine dropper. I'd still appreciate any advice anyone has, as she does still appear to be trying...
She appears to be trying to push something out. Again, I didn't feel any egg when i initially checked (with lubricant and gloves). If it is a prolapsed vent, does it just feel strange to her or something? I have separated her from the flock, placed her in a warm bath, and inspected the vent as...
I'm having trouble with the software on this computer, so the image is rotated wrong, but this is what it looks like after soaking her in a bath. I also tried feeling around inside the vent to see if I felt anything, but I didn't. I have no idea what's going on with her...
This morning we noticed a hen in the nest box acting strangely and she has a significant amount of blood around the vent area. Is she possibly 'egg bound'? If so, if there is blood is there any chance we can save her?
Does anyone know the proper Tylan 50 dosage for a turkey? Or a ballpark amount I could give that would be safe? I am treating the symptoms described here:

Thanks!
1) What type of bird , age and weight (does the chicken seem or feel lighter or thinner than the others.)
Red Bourbon Turkey, Female, Maybe 10 months old, Normal sized.
2) What is the behavior, exactly.
Acting like it has a cold. It was 'coughing' kinda instead of its normal annoying noises...
Cross posting hoping for some extra help, as I posted it in the wrong place first.

She's missing half of the back of her scalp. I'd say that's highly elevated pain. We've gotten her to drink some fruit salad juice from a medicine dropper and she's taken a few bites of watermelon. She still hasn't opened her eyes.
I wish I could give her something for the pain! Would crushing up a baby aspirin and putting it in the water help? I really don't know how that would affect her.
One of my chickens which was introduced to the flock the other day has been pecked at a lot. It has a decent sized open wound on the back of its neck. I have separated it, sprayed it with antibiotics and wrapped it, but I don't know what to do now. I am trying to keep it warm currently. Help!
Hey everyone! We got our first egg last week! Since then, there have been four more, but from different chickens. So far there are small white, small brown, and large brown. We cracked open the first egg and the shell seemed fine and the yolk and white looked normal. Is it alright to start...
