Chicken scalped by coop mates
Hi and thanks for the repy. As an RN the first thing I grab is betadine!! I have the swabs. I did clean it and put triple antidiotic ointment on it. She is doing fine otherwise, but I keep her separated, even from her friends. Seems they want to pick at the scabs. Hope this other crusty stuff...- swimmomRN

Chicken scalped by coop mates
Hi, My chicken was scalped by her coop mates and probably lost an eye:(. She is doing well..eating, drinking, etc.. My question is this: she now has an "over growth" of tan, crusty "stuff" surrounding the original wound and her (now) bad eye. It also is now beginning on her uninjured eye. It...- swimmomRN
