I sell my drakes at the local pigeon show. I get $5 to $10. They can be a tough sell unless the people from the local asian resturant show up. They will sometimes buy whatever I got and run a special on peking duck.
Yeah I just snapped them as it was getting dark and I had already fed them so they kind a wondered why I was bugging them so much. I will try to get a few better pictures tomorrow.

I am also planning on selling unfertilized duck eggs at our local farmers market. We use them all the time and dont tell our friends till after they've eaten that we used duck eggs and once they thought about it. They sometimes say. "Why do people only eat chicken eggs?" My reply is usually...

Every year 2 of my drakes are picking on the other one and it alternates from year to year as to which one is getting picked on and which 2 are doing the picking.
I raise buff Orpintons and one of my drakes bill is blue, both of my hens bills are blue. I think your drake is more likely a campbell. I will post some pictures of my ducks later for you to use for comparison.
I have kept my 3 buff drakes and 1 hen on my 2 ponds for the last 3 years. I'd just catch them once the pond froze thick enough to walk on and shut them up until it thawed. A few weeks ago I got 2 more hens 1 buff and one I'm not sure of. Well the 3 drakes all go after one of the girls at the...
This site is so helpful! I live in southeast Iowa and currently have 6 ducks. Five buffs and one I'm not sure of. I need to post a pic of her and see if anyone can help me with that.
