My poor pygmy and his identity crisis. We got him 3 months ago at 9 months age. He cryed all the time until we put him with my boxer, so he became a dog. Had to put the 14 yr old boxer down for illness so the crying goat found my 5 cats and became a cat, but they beat him up all the time, now he...
Thanks every one for your help. I am cleaning them and expanding their wing bands at the same time. I didn't realize that those babies could cuss like that.
I have my one week old cornish chicks, have kept them in ac and small area. I clean the pen every two days and put clean shavings. As you all know they are eating drinking pooping machines and growing fast but they are getting caked on bottom(breast and back end area) with poop, how do you clean...
Chickens eat pretty much anything, I would try to limit as a snack though. My girls eat up my pygmy goat food driving him crazy but he runs and eats their chicken food, so I use the goat food mixed 40/60 with cracked corn to make a mix I throw on the ground as a snack.

OK now I am worried, I pick up my 25 show chicks for 4H on wednesday that my granddaughter is to show in september. We had to buy them as a group from one supplier. Should I keep them isolated from the area of my other chickens that are in a tractor and run but also free range 5 hours a day in...
When I got my chickies in april, I had one that was sealing over the area with dry poop. I used a washrag and warm water and held it to area to soften everything up, slight massage and clean area. I cleaned for three days. She turned out alright and sits in my lap every morning and afternoon...
My number one in pecking order is super friendly and loving , now number two she has to prove it to all the rest constantly, she does not have much interaction with me at all.
Just one more of the same, I think, when I collect the eggs I rinse with water and rub very gently with my hands and then paper towel dry and straight to frig.
We have a circle of four chairs that expanded from my original one chair. It went from my solitude to others also, it is relaxing to sit out and watch them. The special ones come and sit in my lap and eat from hands. They also tell me when I don't have anything in my hands.
