    I think your fine---basically they say about 16 weeks--so I think you are fine..I have found that has been about true. There has not been a true set rule. You should be fine..I mean we all have a few girls--give or take a few---But start layer now and also oyster shell on own self--they should...

    made my own brooder out of big cardboard boxes--got idea and instructions from Pultry magazine--once done with tear up and recycle...very easy and no cost...worked great...
