It looks like you are well on your way to having things under control.
At six weeks they should be able to go out without light. Assuming the outside temps are reasonable.

If I were just starting I would go with the auto nipple waters for 10-11 months of the year.
There are those periods where it will get cold enough to freeze things up, so I would drain the system for those Dec - Feb cold snaps and give them traditional waters then.

If you take the back off you can completely remove the bottom tray.
I would then place it on the bottom of the incubator to give you the clearance you need to keep the second tray from hitting it.

A great challenge to breed.You really really need some Araucanas.
They seem to be a sturdy bird. WE have had them for a few years now, and still have some of the original stock. Still laying.
It is highly doubtful.
Are your meat chickens a cornish cross?
If so, they really don't do much other than eat, poop, eat, poop, and on. I would not worry at all.
I would give her a day or two to make sure she is serious.
I would think you can just lay the eggs in the nest box next to her and she will grab them all up and perform her magic.

Random update:
Added to the incubator.
9 Pilgrim, 8 Roman, and 1 Buff.
There are a couple more roman eggs in the pen that will get eggnapped later today most likely.
So far, only the first batch is far enough to tell anything.
When they are ready for lockdown they will find a natural position if laying them on their side. Some hatch standing on end, we tried, but just lay them on their side at this point.
I think the quail turner has different racks and will not work for chicken eggs.
