    ugh lockdown

5 of our olive-eggers hatched yesterday and we managed to get 2 neighborhood kids in front of the viewing window just in time to watch 2 push their ways out! Nothing new since yesterday - so I guess the other 6 eggs aren't going to hatch? I'll leave them a little longer just to make sure...

    Average Hatch Rate Thread

I know this is a really old thread, and I read the rules: we're not supposed to resurrect old threads. Welllll, I'm a newbie here at BYC and I'm taking my chances with our amazing moderators. I think this thread is a GREAT idea! I've just finishing up my first hatch and feel oh-so-relieved...

    ugh lockdown

I think I'm on day 20 - I set eggs at 8am many mornings ago, so does that day count as day 1? I've seen some confusing opinions about this. At any rate, no noises or movement yet. If I stare at them long enough, my mind pretends that one is moving, but I think I just need to be patient =]...

We call our .125 acre of Atlanta our farm

Happy Friday all you BYC-ers! I've been a reader since acquiring chicks last fall and finally took the sign-up plunge! Thanks to all of you that have already answered my many questions. ( i.e. "Oh, fwew, its her crop, not a humongous tumor...") We live on this tiny scrap of property in...
