WoW! thank you all for your leads! I am working to follow up on all of them. Having some troubles since my computer is down at the moment.
muddstopper - i have received your PM, i will get back with you on that. I am waiting for someone to get back to me that is more local. Thank you!
He is our best rooster by far! He is very vigilant in protecting his ladies, handsome, HUGE, very docile with us, but we have no idea what he is. He hatched out of eggs that someone gave us. He was our first batch so breed did not matter. He is 2 years old and we would love to try and find more...
I am interested in finding eggs from Buckeyes or Standard Naked Necks/Turkens.
These are two breeds we are really interested in and I am having a very hard time locating some near me. If you have some please let me know how many and how much!
Thank you!
I am looking for some frizzle eggs. If it is a bantam mix that is cool! I just need some frizzle eggs in there. Would like them ASAP!
Please let me know what you have, how many and how much.
Thank you!
I have 8 chickens broody right now! I had one hatch her chicks almost a month ago, when will she begin laying again?
-can i separate her from her babies and put her back in her coop to help speed the process along?
Hows the doe doing?
If you have some goat drench give her that, if not warm water and molasses. You can try a vit b shot, never hurts to give one. also give her some probios just to make sure the belly is working.
When was the last time she was wormed or had a cdt shot?
Make sure she has...
it is good that there is no odor along with the wound. I am not sure what would cause the color change. It is also good that the wound is getting smaller. I did not see anything in your notes about an antibiotic and that would surely help. If it were me, I would do 1cc penicillin squirted onto...
Keep the wound as clean as possible! Also regularly apply neosporin. . . you want the wound to be clean and moist. Make sure the baby is nice and warm and it will do fine!
Sounds like she may be an internal layer. You can do a search here for Egg Peritonitis. She could also be egg bound, but I think that internal layer is more like it. We had a hen with that problem. She was off her feed, swollen/hard belly and just overall not good.
Good luck!
you can get sutures from the farm store. The baby will also NEED to be on an antibiotic. I am not sure at this point if stitches is a good idea, sometimes closing a wound like that can lead to more problems. If it were my baby I would start an antibiotic ASAP, change bandage daily being sure to...
What side of the bone is it on? If it is on HIS right side then it is his crop. The crop is the normal storage place for his food. If it is on his other side then some more information will be needed to help with a diagnosis.

So i should get my incubation humidity pan and then figure out how to increase it. So for example, 1 pan will keep my humidity at 40%, two will bump it to 80% so after hatch period simply remove the second pan!
In theory this idea will work. Obviously need to get some tests done to...
