    I have seen some incredibly georgeous birds on this thread. I got my chicks from a hatchery...are my girls going to have the beautiful lacing that these birds had. I got silver laced....or since they are hatchery chicks, will they be a "watered down" version and not have the awesome lacing?

    Poultry Dust?

    I put DE down before putting down shavings in the coop. Is this good enough? Or should I have (as someone mentioned) put some DE in a separate box for them to dust themselves in. My DE is powdered and food grade. And when they say powdered, they are serious. I have the dust all over everything...

    mmmmm. Not really. But those frizzles are really cool. Some of the frizzle pics I saw were frizzle looking as babies. And as a baby, she looked like all my others. Since she is only a week into this stage, maybe I will just have to wait longer and see what happens. All the others I got with her...
