    Arizona Chickens

Wanted to stop in and say "Hi" and introduce myself. I'm happy to see there is such an active AZ thread. I'm in NE Phx, within walking distance of Pet Food Depot. We have 10 lovely ladies. The oldest 2 are 19 months down to the youngest 2 at 3 months old. Just got the youngest 2 on Monday. We...

My barred rock honks like a goose.

My faverolle mutt makes a honking/sneezing type noise every time she eats. My Delaware doesn't honk but she is very talkative and has a VERY deep nasally voice. She sounds like Fran the Nanny with a bad head cold.

I turn the sprinklers on about twice a day and sprinkle treats or even just lay crumbles on the ground in the sprinkler...

    Can they eat this thing?????

Yeah for you for not killing it!!! They are such beautiful and beneficial creatures. It's pretty rare to find them wandering around. They like to stay pretty well hidden unless it is mating season. Consider yourself fortunate for having such a voracious insect eater on your property.
