I use a red bulb, because i have had chicks that were under a clear bulb that started pecking eachother to the point of drawing blood. The only thing I don't like about it is, it makes the pictures fuzzy when i go to take pictures of them! Haha

I would try to make a splint of some sort and put it on the leg. Popsicle sticks work great, i use electrical tape to keep it on because it stays on, and doesn't hurt them when you take it off. For any chicks that seem to be sleeping alot or sick, I would recommend separating those, so if it's a contagious thing, it doesn't spread. Other than that, I'm not really shur. Good luck!

mine does to, makes it sound like somethings wrong, lol. my roo also climbs in the nesting box and makes loud clucks, to attract the hens, its really weird! lol.
