I actually think it was vitamin deficiency because we don't think they fed the mothers enough and after about a week because it was too hot, because they were in a small space because we were building a brooder palace complete with lights and outlets, I'll post pics
We moved them into the big coop with a heat lamp. One of them hit their leg while learning to fly, and can't use it. I don't think it's Broken at worst badly sprained and bruised. It's still moving around just fine, eating and drinking normally.
HAVE I ALSO GOT A STORRRY FOR YOU
So… it was...
That's what I'm gonna do, I've had back luck with their guineas in particular, but last time we had trouble they gave us $63 to spend only at Strombergs
Yes, but it was straddle legged when I got it. Just in case I put some paper over the wire.
I got 30 from an order of 30 from Strombergs. I will be calling them MondaY
One is bowlegged but the opposite, with her legs to the side of her, and she slides around on her belly. The good thing is she has an attitude so with some help I'm hopeful she'll make it
They arrived healthy, and i was surprised that none were already dead based on what I've heard about shipping live chicks.
But apparently I've jinxed myself because one died last night. I hope the rest are fine
Like I said in planning on letting them raise their own young when they're older, but, NEW PLAN!! Just to make sure this flick doesn't slowly die out in going to incubate some of their clutch each Year
Thank you! I have a huge coop for them to grow up in, and once they're grown I'm going to let them free range and raise their own chicks! (Note I am talking about Guinea Fowl)
