The suggested rooster/hen ratio is 1:10-12+. Less than that and it's pretty rough on the ladies, resulting in reduced egg production due to stress. If you are wanting to keep a roo, I'd suggest getting at the very least 7 more pullets or hens, to help keep any one hen from receiving too much...
