We sold off the rest of our flock.
The breed does have 2 nice qualities: auto-sexing, and extremely food efficient. The eggs aren't big, though, and never had a blue one.
None of our 5 CLB hens from GFF laid tan eggs. The eggs were all green or olive. I've sold 1/2 the flock, and am working towards the other half ASAP. Big disappointment.
A feature I liked about them was that they are auto sexing, so using them for meat was a consideration. Seeing how...
I received mine on April Fool's day - guess the joke is on me, huh? I will not be buying from GFF again. This is the 2nd purchase I made from them and it was disappointing, and I'm not picky, I don't think. Even my daughter agrees on this one, and she is more merciful than I!

I'm aware of a site that sells CLB hatching eggs that are blue. I'm thinking I can then be certain any hens that...
Well, I'm disappointed so far. Bought a small flock from GFF and so far, 3 of the 5 hens are laying green to olive green eggs and SMALL - just 40g Wow.
I know according to UK standards, unless I'm missing something here, that Cream Legbar eggs can be blue, green, or olive.
Was really...
