Quail are a lot more fragile and a lot smaller. The feed has to be EXTRA small so they can eat it. Regular crumble can be too large. You can collect up to 10 days worth. NO LATER THEN 10 DAYS! 10 days is the absolute max, then will need to be placed in the incubator. Hope that helps
For my birds to lay, I give 24 hour free choice of game bird feed, constant water (nor run out for any period of time) and they REALLY lay big time when I give sand. Also your males may be over breeding ur females, 2 to 2 isn't a good ratio. I've found bad ratios have messed with my birds laying too
My question is, I dont know the age of my quail but I get one to two eggs every day, every other day, to every couple days and I have 5 hens. What does this mean? What age do they normally stop laying?
