Hahahaha! My hens first egg was smallish and really round. It was dark with very speckly spots on it, no splotches just light speckling. I was thinkin i wonder if she was afraid to lay her first egg.. cause that one looks overcooked she must have kept it in too long! ;)

i think that would cause more problems than help. if you are worried about their feet you could put hay at the bottom of the cage. but its alot more to clean out that way. i was a bit worried about my groups feet at first but they are all doing fine. lol they sleep in the dustbath all crammed...

Well mine seem to be doing ok. Were out in the hutch until dusk. I brought em inside in a biggish carrier for the night since its still kinda cold. This mornin they went back out and all seem good. Hopped around and peeped a bit went to eatin and drinkin.

Oops that should be 5wks old my bad. And ya i got the higher protien feed (: Well hopefully about a week or so i will be able to try again with better luck and fingers crossed eggs soon.

Hope someone can help ((postin here bc this thread gets alot of views)) I just picked up my first group today. I had to sex them myself bc the person waits until they crow/lay to tell... well i was hoping it would be regular pharohs etc but they are tibetans and tibetan tuxedos (not much white)...
