Hi all, I'm on day 28 with my 6 Welsh Harlequin duck eggs and 5 have pipped and one has just hatched! The little duckling seems to have been born with the egg yolk. It isnt attached to the duckling and she seems bight and healthy but is it a bad thing?

HELP! I'm on the beginning of day 21 with my 10 cream legbar eggs. One of the eggs has been rocking and chipping a lot, and I've just noticed its pipped on the pointy end of the egg. Is it a problem? I'm still a newby to hatching and this is my second hatch. No other eggs have pipped yet...

Hi all, I'm new to hatching, this is my second hatch, and I'm incubating 10 cream legbar eggs in my RCOM 10 pro (day 12). When I candled them the shells were really thick so I couldn't see anything, apart from one egg which was fertile. The humidity is having huge swings ranging from 34- 67%...

This is only my second hatch and I candled my 10 cream legbar eggs today (day 7) with a strong LED candler, but the shells were so thick that we couldn't see anything (apart from one egg which was fertile and had a noticeably thiner shell. Will the thicker shells make it harder for them to break...

The breeder that I bought my hatching eggs from today recommended that I spray my cream legbar eggs with luke warm water from days 1-18. He said it softens up the shell making it easier for them to break out. I know that you do for ducks but for chickens? Does anyone else spray their chicken eggs?

Two have hatched so far with two well on the way. One seems quite weak but the other is drying up, stomping around the incubator like a little dinosaur.:)

Hi, two of my partridge wyanndotte chicks hatched over 4 hours ago and neither of them have dried up yet. I only have 1 incubator with the tempreture at 99.5 and humidity at 75%. One of the remaining eggs has pipped so I am nervous to open the incubator. This is my first hatch and I'm nervous...

Hi, this is my first time hatching and I'm very nervous. I'm on day 21 and I have 6 partridge wyanndottes in my RCOM 10 pro. I have 2 pips so far, the first one over 16 hours ago. It is cheeping but doesn't seem to be making any progress. Is it okay or does it need helping out?
