    This is the other egg i was wondering about. there's a demarkation where it looks like it might have had an air sac, but it doesn't look hollow like the other eggs, it looks like there's liquid in there? not sure if that even makes sense! it doesn't smell or anything, so i guess it won't hurt...

    thank you yes, on the second picture, i did candle the fat end. no air sac that i could see. i can try to get a picture if that will help

    another newbie question about a chicken egg. there isn't an air sac, and i think this is a blood ring at the bottom of hte shadowed area? if someone who knows what they're doing can verify, i'll get rid of this egg and another one that looks just the same. eta, this is day 9

    is this a saddle? this is day 9 on a chicken egg from a local breeder. i thought that saddles normally happen with shipped eggs? are there other causes? as far as handling this egg, i just keep it upright when i'm candling, and try to leave it alone as much as possible? when it's time to move...

    Thank you Kathy they're at day 16 now, i think i'm going to just get rid of the water out of the trays and hope that i don't make it too dry for the other eggs that just started this week. if their air sacs get too big too fast, i'll correct for that later, i guess. I'll try and get some...

    I'm trying to incubate runner ducks and am having no luck. i have some eggs that have air sacs that are too small for the age of the eggs and was wondering if any people who are successful at correcting this problem could have a look at my post about the eggs and give me some feedback or advice...
