Hi I have a cheap bator so I just took a 6v cordless phone dc and cut it to expose the two wires. Next I connected one to the + (red) and one to the - (black) wires. If you are using a fan that has four wires, that means it has two speeds and you don't want to use a 12v DC because you're fan...
I have found that float test to be unreliable unless my chicks were kicking around. I threw away viable eggs because they didn't move. The only test that is reliable is candeling and sometimes that's a challenge if you don't know what you're looking at. I hope this helps. What day are they on?
oh good grief you're at it again! Lol You need to come over and get a good look at my new chicks. You always choose good names! Even though, I don't name mine I let you pick them cuz I'm lame. I forgot the last name you told me to call one of them though and it was cool! :love
Thank you! I was actually looking into it. I'm tired of all those babies dying right when they are supposed to hatch. It always happens in the middle of the night.
I have thick plastic egg cartons with handles on them that are for camping. I found them at Walmart. I wound use something like that so nothing would get too floppy. I too have a little giant, but mine is still air and the hatch rate is awful. I can't figure it out. It's the worst bator ever.
