really great actually! i doubled the trays holding the eggs for more stability and the rocks work great for dispersing the moister....kind of like a chicken sauna ;) i have 24 eggs so i am just switching the two trays positions when i turn the eggs...less contact, less heat and moister loss. i...- slrose24

the heat is at the top.... i have the sensor of the t/h hanging at the middle point etween the two rows where the eggs will be, since they will be slightly elevated on the high side and lower when turned....would that be ok?- slrose24

jsut a word of warning...it does run only in Celsius but its pretty easy to learn any suggestions for a good flashlight? i have a small mag-light but i feel im not getting the visuals i need to accurately gauge my eggs- slrose24

yes i have a couple of these guys that i have been testing off of each other in my incuator and in the rooder. they are bought from differant sources and registering the same...i think i might order a few more to have two per heat controled box. (i really like these tw...good tool and only 5...- slrose24

that sounds like a good plan! also doesnt hurt to fire it up now i suppose...that way i can test my new water holder. ha byw it turns out only one of the lids will fit, which means the other will be my backup. i will just sawp the trays to opposite sides of the lid- slrose24

the eggs are to keep it stable once the eggs are in it....also, i figured if i kept them in there through the hatch, this would keep the water from being deep enough to drown a chick..... i know the incubator has wells, but this seems easier to alter without disturbing the eggs. when on lock...- slrose24

i have cream legbar eggs on the way, not sure how many yet, but as many as i can get. i will probably incubate some barnyard mixes from a friends farm (ive taken to calling them 'brown haven' eggs, ha!. i am using a little giant with a fan and no turner. i can a hydrometer/thermometer to use...- slrose24
