Woke up this morning to 9 more chicks. One had zipped yesterday but couldn't make it out before membrane dried and stuck. Had to assist this morning. Looks good except for curled toes from being stuck. So far 28 have hatched, 10 eggs left

1st one hatched this morning. Up to 23 pips so far. Had to go into town for a birthday party should be home in about 6 hours. Kids and I have a contest going to guess how many hatched when we get home.

38 of the 40 set are now on lockdown

Candled today day 15, I had 1 blood ring. 38 out of the original 40 set are doing great. Lockdown is Wednesday. Can't wait until Saturday hatch.

Well I finally had time to candle. 1 clear out of 40, the other 39 look good. No blood rings and a lot of movement. Air cells look right where they should be for day 8. Since everything looks good (much better than my previous hatches) I'm going to skip day 10 and candle again on day 14 or 15.

So this is my first time in a hatch along and I'm wondering what to do next. I signed up and I'm on the list. Do I just post how many eggs I am going to set? This has been a lot of fun reading the thread and I'm excited about doing a hatch with everyone else. I just finished a hatch 4 weeks...
