Actually both Barred Rock sexes have a white spot on top of their heads and the male's is usually larger than the female's but this is not always the case and therefore not infallible.
Your chicks are too young to sex with any real accuracy at this point. When they feather out, the females will have dark barring and the males will have light barring.
