After obsessively studying the bantam selections on Ideal tosee what they have in blue and self-blue, I'm thinking most likely OEGB, possibly Dutch? I don't know how to tell the difference, particularly at this age, but both breeds have straight combs and clean legs, right?
The self-blue vs lavender (which are the same thing!) vs blue seems unnecessarily confusing to me too! I guess different terms must have developed in different places. The more I poke at chicken colors and genetics, the more I find there are often multiple terms for the same thing...
