I have six silkie chicks right now and one of them is the largest chick in the brooder despite getting them a week after some other standard breeds! Another chick is 1/2 his/her size and the rest range somewhere in between. So, YMMV.

I'd go with the ones that are closest in age to minimize size differences. Problems with integration at that age tend to be very fleeting.
