Yesterday I cooked a big pot of collard greens with ham hocks, fried deer steaks w/gravy, mashed potatoes w/plenty of butter and Razorback cornbread. Sweet tea of course.
Today, it's leftover's from yesterday cause I try not to cook on Sunday's if I can help it, LOL.
BettyR,
That Corn Soup recipe sounds wonderful. May have to try it next cold snap we have. 75 here today, sure doesn't feel like Christmas is a mere 14 days away.
Leftovers tonight so it's a little of this and that. Sometimes those are the best meals and just warming it up without cooking sounds good to me today.
Whew, I'm a born and raised back woods South Georgia girl and I still don't get it. Have Mercy, LOL!
Anyhoo, tonight it's chicken-n-rice, salad, biscuits and sweet tea. Dessert will be buttered biscuits with cane syrup.

say what?
i had Quiche(sp?), with broccoli and spinach and ham and mushrooms and onion and cheddar and swiss cheese
What in the world is no-eye-deer?
Tonight is homemade turkey pot pie, salad, chocolate cake.
Yummy, everyone's menu's sound delish. The Ham and Cabbage soup was so-o-o good. I made a green salad and served crusty bread on the side. Since each of us had two bowls of soup, nobody wanted dessert, LOL. DH and I will finish off the soup for lunch tomarrow. It's always better the next...
Neighbor dropped by to give me a beautiful head of cabbage from his garden in exchange for a dozen of my eggs. I've now got all the fixin's for a pot of Ham & Cabbage soup since I still have leftover ham from Thanksgiving. Can't wait to dig in...YUM!
What you fixin?
