The electric oil filled radiator-type heaters work great. I put flat garden paver for it to stand on and some on top of the heaters for safety in case any of the girls wanted to jump up on it. Heat lamp. Ceiling and walls insulated, but has air circulation. Coop is 8 x 8 x 6 feet tall and 2 feet off ground with solid flooring. 16 Chix.- Chez Poulet
