    Dirt bathing reduces parasites. Wait until you see a baby chick laying on it's stomach with it's head down and its feet straight out the back of it. That'll freak you out too!!

    I agree with waiting on the rooster too. Stick with a couple hens until you get the hang of it, then increase your hen population.
