If the turkey is in that much pain lancing might be an option. If you do lance it, lance at the lowest point so it can drain. -Kathy

That's what my books say, but people do give it subcutaneously or orally, and if they are getting better with subcutaneous injections, it's probably okay to give that way. -Kathy
