Yes, BA's do have a tendency to go broody. I currently have one that is broody, but I have been running her off the nest and taking the eggs away. My eggs are fertile as I have a BA rooster in there too. I will wait until it gets cooler before I let them hatch out any.

I love all 9 of mine too, and Australorps are the only ones that I have in my flock. I have 6 blacks, 1 blue splash (shes blue, but seems to have variations of shadings), and 2 splash ones (off white with just a bit of blue splashes).

She is very cute! They seem to grow up so fast though. lol
