I unplugged the bator with 4 unzipped eggs. I believe they were malpositioned. One zipped and died from ruptured yolk sac. Another pipped externally. It was malpositioned and missed the aircell. awe, I am sorry it didn't make it. I am worried about this one. I am so surprised it zipped. It is resting, unzipped. It has not pushed the shell off yet for me to see. I don't want to rush it, giving it the best chance to absorb what it can.- chantels1

what a beautiful hatch. I currently am dealing with a malpositioned chick. It ruptured it's yolk sac too!!! I was going to help it but put it back in the incubator when I saw yolk. 30 minutes later it zipped. Just waiting for it to push out now so I can assess it's condition. When did your...- chantels1

Good luck with the hatch. Currently I have 7 hatched 5 pips out of 18 eggs that went into lock down. Mine seem to get to work in early morning and bedtime.- chantels1

I have to share my statistics that I find interesting. I did dry incubation for tge first time this hatch. I weighed all eggs before going into the incubator, and throughout incubation. The last weigh in was day 18. The eggs that lost 12%+ percent of weight hatched first. The ones that have...- chantels1

Evening update. This morning was full of excitement with 2 pips, one of which became a record setting speed hatch. Then things slowed to a near stop all day. Around 8 pm things started picking up again and we now have 6 more pips. Things look great as tomorrow is day 21!- chantels1

And we hatched a Brahma! 2 Wyandottes pipped and are resting. This Brahma was in a hurry. 1.5 hours from pip to hatch.- chantels1

Our second pip occurred about 15 minutes after the first. This little Brahma is in a hurry. It's been an hour and it's 3/4 zipped. The Wyandotte who pipped first has not started zipping. So exciting!- chantels1
