I just sprayed where I saw them, I didn’t necessarily think about quantity, and yes I made sure to get it on the skin. I checked pretty much all over every bird, but I will do a night check with a flashlight tonight.
I changed shavings, and sprayed some birds (couldn’t catch 2 of them, will do tonight). I accidentally did more than recommended, is that ok? I don’t think that would have been enough because some had it on their bums and under their wings.

They are definitely lice. The “eggs” at the base of the feathers look exactly like the picture.
Thank goodness, getting lice or bedbugs is my personal nightmare. I’ll do that, thank you!
Hi! I just found mites on my birds and have some questions.
They appear to only be on my two oldest birds. Should I still treat all (going to use the Permetherin spray that people were recommending at the beginning of this thread) or just the ones I find mites on?
I’m cleaning the coop today...
