Really sorry to hear that. On supplements, I also like to use sav-a-chick for the first day or so, maybe with a little honey if a few are lagging. Seems to give them a boost and help them recover from the hatching experience a little faster. Most of mine are shipped eggs and need all the...

I know several people who stop turning around day 14. And yes, you only have to worry about shrink wrapping if the chicks have externally pipped, providing that your humidity has been good all along and your air cells are on track.

I usually start at 45-50% for a couple days. My Brinsea incubator rocks the eggs front to back (as I look at it.). So I look at the damage in the egg, and make sure the saddles are to the right and/or left sides if the egg so that the lowest part of the saddle is not stressed as much by...

Lpyrbby, they might hatch just fine so just set them and keep going. Rotate the egg so the turning is perpindicular to the saddling if that makes sense. I used to wait before setting shipped eggs, but now I set them after resting a few hours in an incubator with higher humidity for a day, then...

Are the air cells OK? Hoping for a great hatch for you!!

Or a brown egg. The OE probably has only 1 copy of the blue egg gene, and each chick has a 50/50 chance of inheriting it. Definitely worth a try though!

She'd probably freak out if she saw on here how many chicks have been hatched from those eggs.

Floor - Sand/PDZ mix. More sand than PDZ. Unfortunately now it is also covered with feathers that I really need to clean up. Nest box - Aspen shavings, with a little DE in the cracks underneath pushed in with a paintbrush. Poop tray - Sand/PDZ mix, more PDZ than sand. My chickens are only in...
