That's Sad, Sorry!! I hate shipped eggs---really hate buying eggs from someone unless I really know them or they come highly recommended. Good Luck with the rest!

I hear you on not Sweating the perfect rules. I got a question I want to ask with no disrespect meant----I know we all do things the way we want-----My question is why do you put yourself through all the hatching from the abandoned eggs? The reason I am asking is I set a lot of broodies and...

    Dry incubation.

People talk about bad position a lot caused some not to hatch or it pipped on the wrong end. I hatched 1000's and 1000's and if any pipped the wrong end or were bad positioned I did not know it caused they hatched. As far as 5 days after lock down---I think is great advise---me if you tried to...

As stated the temp should be the same for lock-down as the incubation. 65% is a good standard. I had better hatches at 75% in my area.

I do not weigh, I just set the humidity for the incubation and usually only candle on day 18 when I am ready to lock-down and raise the humidity. The eggs you are saying that do not look full----if it just more looks like a transparent glob---you can take them out---or do this---take one out...

Late on the 22nd will be great---they should be all hatched by late the 25th if your temp is correct. Your day counting starts at day 0 the day you put them in, day 1 would be 24 hours later(Sunday evening in your case), etc. I have put mine on lock--down on day 17 and day 19(because of not...

I try to be around 35% for incubation and 75 to 80% for the hatch. My hatcher is the one on the right in the pic under my name. 99.5 to 100 My big incubators/hatcher are in a uncontrolled temp room in a out building so the humidity has a wide range-----different at night, rain days etc. My...

    Dry incubation.

45 to 50% humidity is high in my opinion, 65 for the hatch is to low in my opinion IF it had of been lower the first 18 days. I am a Firm Believer that on day 18 you remove any bad eggs, increase moisture and Do Not Open again for no reason till they hatch on day 21---if all are not hatched they...

What was you running your humidity at the hatches before---first 18 days and the hatch? Are you one that opens the incubator the last 3 days to add water, check the eggs, etc, etc?
