    Partridge Olive Egger

Oh, she is a beauty for sure! It's nice to see some comparisons. Here's Olivia's first egg just laid today!! I think it's a beautiful color for a little pullet egg. I was so shocked that she layed one this early, not quite 5 months yet, although most of the girls have been squatting lately. I'm...

    Partridge Olive Egger

Here is Olivia at 4+ months now. She has very distinctive white earlobes, is smaller than the other breeds in the flock, and shy but getting sweeter. I think she's part penedesenca and part cream legbar. I'd love to see your partridge olive egger. How is Yoda, Ajahartman?

    Partridge Olive Egger

Yes, both are part CCL and I think the partridge part came from a Welsummer on mine. I'm not sure with Yoda. It's interesting to see the different mixes. I'm hoping for army green eggs. It'll be fun to touch base when they start laying.

Oh, Yoda is so cute!! Here is my Olivia, just a little younger than yours. It doesn't show so much in the pic but she has green legs. She is starting to get friendlier now. She was pretty skittish at first. Is Yoda friendly? The Swedish Flower Hen behind her jumps into my lap when I visit the...

    Partridge Olive Egger

Oh, she's so cute! I hope they will have fluffy heads. You'll have to keep us posted as she grows, and I will, too. Yoda has a lot of yellow on her face. Olivia doesn't, so who knows what the mix is. I can't wait for my babies to go into the big girl coop. It's getting a little crowded in the...

    Partridge Olive Egger

Meet Olivia. Here she is at 19 days old. I love her little top knot. So far, she's not super sweet, a little skittish, but I hope that changes as she gets older. Notice her olive colored legs.

That was very helpful. Thank you! The chick on the bottom is the speckled sussex. The OE actually has olive looking legs. MPC wouldn't give away their breeding secrets but he did tell me it involved Welsummers and Cream Legbars. Mine looks quite a bit different than Ajahartman's.

    Partridge Olive Egger

She is just adorable! It could be their breeding program which is under wraps, but mine look a little different. They are six days old now. The pics aren't that good, but one is the partridge OE and the other is a speckled sussex. I just can't tell which is which. . Any ideas?

That's great to hear! Please keep us updated. I'm getting mine (only one) on May 2 or 3. I'm so excited, I'm also getting a lavender orpington, favaucauna, Swedish flower hen, and cream legbar. I'm really shooting for a colorful basket of eggs, and sweet temperments. I'll post pics when I get...

I love that Crele look. I'm learning so much, and your Welbars are fascinating. Good luck with your breeding program. I live in the city, but would love to have the space to try something like that.

I wasn't familiar with that breed and just read up on them. Yes, that definitely makes sense. Thanks for your input. I will keep you posted over time.

    Partridge Olive Egger

I just ordered a partridge olive egger minutes ago from MPC! (It must have been a cancellation because they're always sold out.) I'm so excited. The lady I talked to was very knowledgeable about all the other birds I ordered except for her, although she did say that some of her coworkers have...

Gorgeous colors! What kind of chicken laid that pink egg? I envy the beautiful colors you have. :)

    Partridge Olive Egger

Hi all, I saw that MPC has a new offering, a partridge olive egger. I am looking for a bird that lays a dark army green egg. Is anyone here familiar with this type of olive egger? They say they lay vivid color eggs, but only in a medium size.
