thanks everyone. yes the poor dog just couldn't wait anymore. she is a little mom over the chickens.

here they are! the last little one didn't make it. just wore out and never absorbed the yolk. so it was 22 out of of 30 leghorns and 3 out of 5 mutts.

thank you all. i am just waiting on that last straggler. one of the Leghorns is white and not yellow!!! just one. so interesting. everyone that is in the brooder is doing swimmingly! no lethargic chicks, all doing their chick things.

giant foot. i wonder if that is genetic or an incubator issue? in total 10 are out of their shells and a bunch more pipped. i'm thinking it's going to be a decent hatch. three of my mutt girls' eggs are hatched. and seven leghorns so far!

day 21 started with one pipped egg and now there are 10 out of 31 pipped! the kids are excited to see them pop. Shelleyb1969 and her DS were here for a visit and we were on hatch watch all day. c'mon chickies!
