All chicks have spur buds. Males generally don't begin to develop spurs till they are about 6 months old.- junebuggena

Help, sex and breed id.
No Marans or Australorp in that chick. Both breeds are white skinned, which is dominant over yellow skin. Looks like a Barred Rock cockerel. Too young to be certain of gender. Looks like a mixed breed pullet for now. Australorp. Too young to guess gender.- junebuggena
