It's not that important to me. I don't need purebred, as long as they lay some eggs then I'm happy. If she was a mutt then I'd still be just as happy with her. She's one of the few that will eat our of my hand. She's a sweetie.
I thought that FOR were pretty big birds. She is one of the smallest birds in my flock. I'm not sure of her age, but I'm guessing that she might be a little younger than the rest.
So I'm assuming the rarity is a good thing. I purchased her from an older woman. She we part if the group that was supposed to be 6 pullets. I ended up 50/50 on that one. That would make sense since one of the cockerels I took back to her looked like a RIR.
Any ideas on what she might be? She was sold to me as a random red pullet. She's 4-6 months old. Her tail is a green color, and she has green speckled on her neck.
