Because I'm a nerd and love animal behaviors I did a search. Although I could not find 'paratrepsis' linked with Quail I did find mention of doves. Paratrepsis falls under 'nest protection behaviors' as well as 'mobbing'. Which is what crows do to larger birds of prey in a 'murder of crows'...- Bogtown Chick
