2 from 13 hens...I have one that consistantly lays a soft egg. I think that is when they turned into egg-eaters!!! They have grit and oyster shell in their run @ all times. How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?
I finally found my "dirty rotten" eggeater not red-handed but yellow-beaked! Plus I always have a soft-shelled egg on the roost. Oyster shell and grit offered free choice. Also give layer pellets. 2 eggs today from 13 hens!- Sparks
