Thanks for that - but I have been feeding them egg shells ever since they started laying. They do eat them and I will be sure to keep the supply replenished. They are also getting layer feed which has calcium in it. Maybe I need oyster shells??
I ended up with 7/9 today, finding one egg outside the coop in the chicken yard in the favorite place for dust bathing. That's a first. Had two pretty blue eggs today and am so glad that my Ameraucana isn't egg bound! I had two pullet eggs with kind of soft shells. Can that be happening...
Hooray! Yesterday there were two little blue eggs so I know both Ameraucana pullets are laying and healthy. 7/9 today and 5/9 yesterday. Thanks for the suggestions re: egg bound chickens. I'm glad that wasn't my problem. I was just over anxious!

I had 8/9 yesterday and 7/9 today. I still have one Ameraucana pullet that isn't laying yet. They are 22 wks old today. This little girl spends time in the nest boxes but no egg, yet. I love the look of the pretty blue eggs with the brown eggs.
7/9 today - still waiting for one Ameraucana and one Austrolorp to start laying. Getting a lovely rich brown egg from my Cuckoo Maran. I just love going out there to see what surprises they have for me in the nest boxes. It's been in the mid 90's so I was expecting them to "lay off" a bit but...
I have two hens that are a year old and collected two eggs from them and I have seven pullets w/three of them laying at 19 wks and collected three eggs from them so a total of five from five layers. My two R. I. Reds were the first pullets to start laying - they were only 17 wks. old. The next...
