    got another egg today. 1/4 but we just bought 2 of our layers so I figured they will hold off a week or so before continuing laying. so it would actually be 1/2 right now. our ameracauna hasn't laid yet after seven days of being at our home. hopefully she will lay sometime this week.

    Got an egg today! Six days after we bought our jersey giant and amerucana pullets we got an egg. We bought 2 11 month old black sex links. Great looking pullets. Hoping the new chickens don't mess up the egg production we just finally got from our jersey giant.

    I noticed our Brahma is molting but our jersey giant and ameracauna doesnt seem to be molting. Our Brahma is almost 5 months old and our Jersey Giant and Americauna is 9 months almost 10.

    Actually got 2 eggs from our only 2 Heritage hens we know that are laying right now. We should have a Brahma laying in the next 2-4 weeks and 2 Silkies laying in the 4-6 weeks and 2 more Silkies that should start laying in the next 2 months.
