I have 19 chickens and 26 chicks now, unfortunately another one of my chicks died. :( .

Honestly, I don't really anything about them. I read that they are supposed to be more of a meat bird than an egg layer although it is listed as a dual purpose bird. Also I heard that they are supposed to lay large eggs.

These are the chicks I hatched. Surprisingly, most of them were black with yellow on them. ^ This is the little guy that died. He couldn't walk right and he wasn't eating, but at least he is not suffering anymore.

I only wanted to hatch a few since I am going to buy a few chicks from TSC. Also on March 28th I am hopefully getting Ameraucana/Silver-Spangled Hamburg eggs from a friend.

That's what I thought, but someone told me that it was illegal. I would buy online, but I only want one and the minimum order is six.

That's so sad. My dogs have attempted to chase goose several times, but she/he ended up attacking them. My dad thought she/he would have flown off by now, but I am glad she/he hasn't.

I just wish I could get another one. I had no idea that it was illegal to own a Canada goose in Georgia.

I heard it is legal to own them, but illegal to capture one out of the wild.
