anyone interested in a BSL male? Looks like I received a BSL male in with my Black Australorp female order. He is around 5 days old. I don't mind keeping him until he is off heat.
PM me if interested
I have a couple of young cockerels I need to re-home
ICO / SLW cross and ICO /DB cross
neither are aggressive and neither of their parents are aggressive. I live in Covington / Mansfield area. No charge for the birds and not wanting them to end up on the table either
the first bird is a March...
I haven't experienced that. I will have more than one go broody very close to each other but I haven't experienced the non-broody's stop laying.
seasonally mine will really slow down in the peak of the Summer
In my Biel coop I have 5 hens , one of which is currently broody. I got 4 eggs...

Hard for me to say. I give my chicks away after I keep what I want. I don't produce enough to move the needle , so giving them away is pretty hassle free. I have given away all my breeds including my Bielefelders.
I paid 20 per Biel pullet , 15 per Orp (straight run) , Brahama 30 per...
I had given a Biel boy and a SLW / ICO boy to someone wanting a roo. I was surprised that the snake could get them down.
I could see an Indigo , Timber or Eastern Diamondback able to eat that size prey or possibly a large Pine or Bull snake.
Anyway just a heads up

Mine free feed too until roost time. Once they roost they do not come down to eat or drink. They usually consume the largest amount of food before they roost.
We had our first snake (black rat) visitor yesterday. I surprised to see it with the temps being so cool. I re-homed it to the back of our property. I'm sure It will be back in a couple of weeks.
One batch was hatched with an incubator. I gave a member a dozen eggs to hatch.
My batch was hatch by my hen. The remaining three I have aren’t starting to peep. With it being so cold tonight I didn’t want to mess with them too much.
HH0611 is in the process of hatching some of the eggs I gave her. She has three that have hatched today with another three due to hatch today or tomorrow.
let me or her know if you are looking for any new additions
I also have 7 being brooded due by Monday
