Same here! Even the one with a porch is nicer than mine. My birds sleep in two large doghouses to which we added roosts, nesting boxes, and drawbridge style locking doors.

I've heard people recommend misting with a weak solution of hydrogen peroxide and water whenever they get dry. The HP kills the mold and it won't hurt the plants or the chickens.
