Yeah, Ken said if Frankenfoot would share he’d like to make a couple for me. We both really liked them. But first we have to teach Destructo-Dog to leave planters alone! The heavy ones she digs the dirt out of, the lighter ones she just bumps over with her big nose and then plays in their dirt...
Sorry, a little punch drunk here....been up all night and now there’s a baby to welcome into the world. I’ll try to do better tomorrow. Er, or I guess that would be later today, huh?
Aww, @007, I would love to see this myself, but your photograph nailed it beautifully! I've got tons of hummers here - 4 varieties - but have never been fortunate enough to see a nest and babies!! So glad you posted this!
Your picture is just gorgeous! Those little spots of sunshine are never easy to photograph, so to capture one relaxed and sporting a pollen beard is a feat!
No, we didn't see as many here either, although we had a steady stream of what I think are the "regulars". I generally keep 8-11 feeders...
When I want a little taste of summer to tide me over through the long winter months, I go back through my hummingbird photos. It works - but only temporarily! :lau
