Gillis frowned. "Really? Well, you can report them if you want. But if you do that then you wont be working either." Did Squid really expect him to leave? He might miss his only opportunity to find a second reject.

Gillis looked at Squid his eyes sparkling with joy. "Huh? Uh, sure." he said and went back to his work. Though now he was listening to what was going on around him. He hadn't actually heard what it was he was talking about.

Gillis sat at a conveyor belt inspecting things as they passed by him. He liked that his job seemed to keep him occupied. Even though it was still dull and repetitive, he occasionally would find something that didn't meet standards and that would get him excited about maybe finding another...
